    Rose Nolan’s exhibition is the third in a series of surveys exploring the work of mid-career artists. This exhibition includes a selection of Nolan’s works encompassing a fifteen-year period. Paintings, sculpture, photographs, collage and site-specific installations are grouped and categorised by the artist as ‘banners’, ‘constructed work’, ‘flat work’, ‘homework’ and ‘word work’.

Activate,animate, complicate, grow: what new acquisitions can do to and for the collection showcases 22 artworks recently acquired by the University of Melbourne in dialogue with existing works from the collection. Presented as individual ‘case studies’, the relationships between works demonstrate the ways that new additions breathe life into permanent collections.
