An Australian War Memorial touring exhibition

Stella Bowen: art, love & war is the first retrospective of the work of expatriate Australian artist Stella Bowen. Featuring seventy-two works spanning over forty years, the exhibition brings together works from the Australian War Memorial collection and private collections throughout Australia, Britain, and the United States. Stella Bowen’s career took her from Adelaide to London and Paris. Towards the end of her career she was appointed an official RAAF war artist. This exhibition includes works from her earlier bohemian period, as well as her later, and better-known, wartime paintings.
