This exhibition of portraits and busts drawn from the University of Melbourne Art Collection, have been selected on the premise that a great portrait is less about achieving a likeness and more about the artistry involved in making a work. This exhibition presents a cross-section of styles, and explores developments in portraiture from the late nineteenth to the late twentieth centuries.
