Generously supported by a Global Atelier Grant and funds from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music (MCM), a select brass ensemble comprised of students from the MCM will embark on an exciting three-week tour in July 2014. This elite group will perform in Sydney as well as multiple locations in Denmark and Germany.
Join the ensemble for special tour launch at the Ian Potter Museum of Art on 6 July at 2pm. Nestled amongst the Museum’s collection of art and artifacts, the group will perform new works by Australian composers, classics from the brass repertoire, and popular favourites.
All welcome. No bookings required.
Just opened! Activate, animate, complicate, grow: what new acquisitions can do to and for the collection showcases 22 artworks recently acquired by the University of Melbourne in dialogue with existing works from the collection. Presented as individual ‘case studies’, the relationships between works demonstrate the ways that new additions breathe life into permanent collections.
