Two wooden dominos Unknown, c. 19th century Excavated Cohen Place, Melbourne Collection of Heritage Victoria
Dr Andrew Jamieson will provide two twenty minute floor talks starting at 12.00pm and 2.00pm.
The objects selected demonstrate the relevance and importance of the State’s historical archaeology and are significant because they have been unearthed as part of controlled scientific excavations that provides them with secure and well-defined contexts. The eight sites featured in the exhibition have been selected because they are places where the archaeology provides us with information that we could not have obtained by other means, such as traditional historical sources.
